Les Jinetes (Alexis Cabrera B2B Ignacio Morales B2B Handfree)_
Sam Bangura B2B Dale Mussington
1st release available
Sophie says goodbye in a big way, with a lineup that brings together artists from the coolest electronic sounds. The Main Stage will be a huge celebration of underground music with the legend of the shiny electronic music, Luciano; the grooviest tech house by the Brit Jamie Jones, and the versatility of the superstar Sonja Moonear: mixing up some strong techno, house, and minimal beats. Joining them, we’ll also have Giorgio Maulini and F.O.E to complete a top-notch lineup on the main stage.
Taking control of the Modular Stage is the Picnic crew, with one foot in London and the other in Amsterdam. Onstage, you’ll find a group of the most underground European artists, including Margaret Dygas, an icon from Ricardo Villalobos and Zip’s Perlon label, Evan Baggs and his blend of styles ranging from electro to techno and minimal, and Andy Luff, the face behind the Picnic label. The Modular Stage will also feature the B2B set of Sam Bangura and Dale Mussington, and a set by Loa Szala to round things off.
Internationally recognized, Jamie Jones is the leader of the influential Hot Creations label, founder of the worldwide Paradise event series, and a member of the band Hot Natured. Jamie Jones has achieved an iconic status in the world of electronic music. He is a trendsetter and a British dance music superstar, pioneering his own distinctive sound that draws from house, soul, tropical sounds, and techno to create sets that paint smiles across the audience.
Tech house and minimal with Latin rhythms have a name: Luciano. The Swiss-Chilean artist and his label Cadenza have been key figures in the global electronic music scene, setting trends and energizing an entire movement with their sets and showcases. We’re getting ready for a session filled with ethnic voices, groove, and Latin percussions in our characteristic Mediterranean ambiance.
High note ending for Sophie’s second year. It’s been an incredible journey, and we wanted to close it in the best way possible, celebrating big with all of you.
For this, we’ve invited three of the most prominent figures on the international scene to take the Main Stage and deliver two unforgettable rituals of pure rhythm and techno hedonism. One of them will be the joining of forces for one night only: Jamie Jones B2B Luciano. We could stop at this point and continue, because the mention of their names speaks for itself. But just in case there’s anyone who doesn’t know them yet, it’s necessary to point out that we’re facing two DJs and producers with innate talent and countless hours of experience in their hands. Jamie Jones is the mastermind behind Hot Creations and the Paradise parties in Ibiza. He has played at major festivals and events worldwide, and his mastery on the decks is more than evident – he essentially has and selects the best tracks and mixes them like no other. The same can be said of Lucien Nicolet, aka Luciano: a pivotal artist in the early 2000s minimal scene, the Swiss-Chilean founded the Cadenza label and became a star DJ on the Ibiza scene for many years. His blend of techno and house with traces of trance and Latin influences is renowned. Now, imagine what they can achieve together. Or even better: don’t imagine, come dance to it. In addition to these two, Sophie is pleased to welcome the great Sonja Moonear. The Geneva-based DJ is a true master of the dancefloor, with an in-depth understanding of all the intricacies of her profession. She’s a regular on labels like Perlon and events like Cocoon or Tomorrowland. Her exquisite taste is well-known in the international circuit, and her versatility allows her to move effortlessly between house and techno, adjusting the tempo as she pleases. It’s a luxury and an honor to have her for our final party. Alongside these titans, the day will be opened by Venezuelan Giorgio Maulini, a fanatic of Detroit techno and Chicago house, always prioritizing groove in his sets above all else. And the trio Les Jinetes, formed by locals Alexis Cabrera, Ignacio Morales, and Handfree, will take the decks, bringing the virtues of their magnificent EP on the Berlin-based Funkamp label.
All of this will take place on the main stage. But in the meantime – and simultaneously – the Modular Stage will be taken over by the Picnic collective, led for the occasion by the wonderful Margaret Dygas and her fusion of dub, techno, and experimental funk, cultivated through her residencies in New York, London, and Berlin. Alongside her, we’ll enjoy the back-to-back session between Dale Mussington and Sam Bangura (watch out for him), as well as sets from the Brits Loa Szala, Andy Luff, and New Yorker Evan Baggs – all emerging DJs with an exceptional ear for spinning the best minimal house of the moment.
