The best DJs often make excellent tastemakers, but few ever lay the foundations for an entire music scene.
Over the last decade, RPR Soundsystem have had an immeasurable impact on the electronic music landscape, in their homeland of Romania and across Europe. Through their pioneering [a:rpia:r], Rhadoo, Petre Inspirescu and Raresh championed a style of stripped-back, hypnotic minimal techno that became known as the “Romanian sound”, inspiring a generation of young producers centred around Bucharest’s local scene. Today the three DJs are among electronic music’s most respected selectors, known for their marathon length sessions where they display their heady playing style. While each has carved his own take on this intricate sound, when they unite as RPR Soundsystem, their worlds merge.
Never give a sword to a man who can’t dance…
Of Turkish origins but born and raised just outside of Zurich, Alci’s entry into DJing came via Hip Hop and street culture, trying his hand at graffiti and breakdancing before discovering turntables. Igniting his passion for music, his taste has evolved over the years, shifting into the electronic world where he now places his sound between funky House grooves and minimalistic Techno. At the age of 17 he was already on the Zurich circuit and a resident dj at Club Supermarket.
Today he is called upon to play all around the world like Sunwaves, Amnesia, DC10, Epizode, tINI & Gang, Fuse London, Sunday Breakfast, Caprices Festival, Rex Club, SASH Sydney, Gesthouse, Resolute NY, Un_Mute and more. A self-professed vintage head, when it comes to his own productions he’s keen to strike the balance between analogue gear and new technology.
Anthea has cemented herself in the forefront of house and techno talents. Once a behind-the-counter fixture of London’s Flying Records, Black Market Records, and Phonica Records, Berlin-based Anthea has been honing her tastemaker’s ear for over 10years.
After building a reputation as the most in-demand female DJ in London, Anthea now disseminates her distinct brand of funk-fueled music to every corner of the globe as a world-renowned DJ, producer, and vocalist, collaborating alongside many of the scene’s underground heroes and pioneering her very own, Partisan label.
Anthea’s rise from the East London club scene to tours of the U.S, Europe and South America stemmed from her roof-raising sets at local institutions in London such as Fabric, where she was a resident at Phonica Records Nights and a regular special guest in the early days of Fuse – London.
In her more recent move to Berlin, the city’s generous set times and extended opening hours made a natural fit for the immersive narrative of her performances-an immaculate balance between psychedelic excursions and killer grooves. Playing at clubs such as Panorama Bar and Hoppetosse in Berlin, Resolute-NYC, Goa-Rome, Closer-Kiev, Rex-Paris, Fuse-Belgium (to name a few), holding down a summer residency at Club Der Visionaere and, being invited on the infamous Boiler Room Live-Stream, is a testament to the skills and selections at her disposal and this shines through with her infectious performances for leading clubs and festivals around the world.
Regarding Anthea’s productions, it’s apparent that quality is valued over quantity; her releases and remixes have been carefully selected. Anthea’s keen sense for mood, groove, and sleek sound aesthetics saw early efforts on Freak N’Chic, Tuningspork and Cecille records. While her collaborations with close friend back in 2008 Alex Celler produced some studio chemistry, their track « The Playmaker » held a place for 3 years as one of Resident Advisor’s Top 40 tracks of all time. Anthea also joined forces with Werner Niedermeier as JC Freaks, in 2007 for a run of deep and classy EPs for Mojuba and Wandering. Her feature and vocal work on Guti’s album Patio de Juegos, as well as the big hit “Option One” are further testament to her creative collaborations.
Anthea’s “Distraction EP” including Dan Ghenacia and Subb-An’s remixes – were instant summer hits on One Records UK.
As well as her artistic endeavors, you can also see evidence of Anthea’s commitment to cutting edge house and techno in her previous A&R work at Brouqade Records and, most recently, her very own Partisan imprint.
Launching with an exciting residency at Moscow’s Rodnya club, Partisan has evolved into a platform for artists that closely align with her discerning taste. To date there have been many sold out releases with showcases around the world.
With an emphasis on creating, and not imitating, anyone who finds themselves locked in on the dance floor when Anthea is at the controls will attest that she’s highly adept at manipulating time, whether she is using trippy selections and hypnotic blends that melt away the hours, or giving you something banging or uplifting or piecing together music from across different eras and making it sound like a unique soundscape, with her rhythmic flow.
It’s in this devotion to the most exciting sounds, whenever and wherever they might come from, that has made her such a potent force, in house and techno scene.
Trends might come and go, but Anthea’s approach is a timeless constant.
A collaboration between three of Paris underground’s hottest exports, 2012 saw the launch of Apollonia, the imprint and DJ outfit from Shonky, Dan Ghenacia and Dyed Soundorom.
Presenting a back2back2back spectaculaire, Apollonia DJ together for extended sets of five hours or more, following a strict one-record-each concept for the full duration of the show.
Bringing their three-way performance to only the most infamous clubs and parties around the world. To name a few : all night longs in Fabric London regularly but also Closer (Kiev) (and lately Kureni with the same team), Mutabor , Epizode, Sunwaves, KAPPA Festival, Junction 2, Caprices festival etc…
It was in Berlin where the trio conceived and produced their debut LP ‘Tour A Tour’, which was released in October 2014. The album represents Dan, Dyed and Shonky in recorded form, taking the listener from the warm- up, to the main event and the after-party – a schedule which the three men are well accustomed to with their marathon sets. So far, one single has been released from the album, a killer cut named ‘The Benshee’, which was accompanied by a brilliant video featuring puppet imitations of Apollonia and aired on MTV no less. The guys also embarked on an epic world tour off the back of the album, hitting a dizzying number of clubs in just a few short months, from Brazil to Berlin and back again.
Since Apollonia was conceived in 2012, the group has maintained a long-standing association with Ibiza’s original underground party Circoloco and holding a strong affinity for DC10, it has been their club of choice for the once-a-season Apollonia ‘All Night Long’ showcase. Appearing at Richie Hawtin’s ENTER. for the first time in 2014, they mixed the Space Terrace CD of the party’s summer compilation. On top of this they were bestowed with the honour of gracing the cover of Mixmag in July 2014, mixing the cover CD and then later being invited to partake in their ‘100% Vinyl’ video series too. They have also featured high up in Resident Advisor’s annual poll, reaching the top 20 two years running. 2017 was set to be the second year they’ve added to their Ibiza busy schedule a string of performances at Music On in Amnesia, 6 throughout the summer;
More recently, in 2019 Apollonia proudly unveil their first ever Ibiza own-residency, Planet Claire. After several years of headline performances across the island, they will host their own night at brand new club space, Octan, curating 10 dates throughout the season. Dan, Dyed and Shonky are set to take over Sundays, to perform their own unique all-night-long back-to-back sets, and invite a first-class selection of artists to join them at the stunning new venue: Doc Martin, Traumer, Nicolas Lutz, Omar, Francesco del Garda, Cristi Cons, Brawther, Gene On Earth, Pearson Sound, Francesco del garda, Anthea, Mark E Quark, Sweely..
Archie Hamilton has seen a remarkable rise through the ranks of the underground house and techno scene, becoming one of the most respected artists in his genre.
Working across many facets of electronic music, Archie was an early originator of a new European sound, with his own unique take on minimal house and techno: his signature sound of rugged basslines and ethereal atmospherics has established itself firmly in the minds of clubbers around the world.
Archie is a dynamic selector, accomplished producer and influential label owner. Having spent 10 years mastering his craft; cutting his teeth in the studio whilst managing A&R for his two imprints, Moscow Records and Moss Co., he reached a milestone in the summer of 2019 by releasing his debut album ‘Archive Fiction’. Most recently, in November 2021, he launched MTD records, a strictly vinyl-only concept.
As a DJ, Archie’s reputation has grown as one of the foremost progenitors of a distinctive sound; his collection includes Classic 90’s gems and upfront club bombs – with a heavy proclivity towards his own unreleased original music and talent from his own imprints. He has performed at some of the world’s most illustrious parties, clubs and festivals from Sunwaves in Romania to Parklife in Manchester, whilst being a regular in UK establishments such as fabric in London and Leeds’ Mint Warehouse.
Now established in both North and South America, Archie is also a fixture on the Ibiza circuit, performing at some of the island’s biggest parties including Circoloco, Music On and the closing of Amnesia in 2019.
Unsurprisingly, his progress has not gone unnoticed by broadcasters. In January 2020 Archie was invited to deliver Radio 1’s Essential Mix. He continued to spend his 2020 wisely, honing his craft in the studio in the midst of a busy release schedule that included remixes for exciting new talent such as Toman, Oden & Fatzo, and Djoko as well his own solo tracks. More recently Archie took up an invitation from fabric to collaborate with Arts Council England on a livestream in his hometown at the Clapton Round Chapel.
“My artist name is Cecilio. My real name is Cecilio too.
I was born and raised in the beautiful Córdoba, Andalucía, Spain. But musically speaking I’m from many places, specially Bristol and Berlin, where I call home now.
Luckily, I’ve had great musical influences, from my family first, and later from all sorts of friends I have encountered during this life journey. My willingness and love to dance and make people dance, is what made me a dj. Along the way, I discovered that I also love to touch souls, and mess up minds (in a good way). To do so, I mostly use House and Techno, but UK breaks and afro rooted music are always present. And when needed (or possible) I love to get deep and deeper.
I’m part of a crew of nice people called Slow Life. We not only throw some good parties, but also have a decent record label.
I’ve been blessed enough to travel the world with my record bag, and Im always ready for more!”

A few short years after breaking through, on the back of a series of huge house tracks, Dutchman Chris Stussy is now a growing part of the global underground scene. Always leading the way and heading into new musical territory, he has built on early successes with a steady stream of essential new releases with each one bringing something fresh to the dance floor via influential labels like Djebali and Phil Weeks’s Robsoul.
Inspired by the likes of Kerri Chandler, raw Chicago grooves and well-schooled in the classics, Stussy uses this knowledge to head into the future and perfect his own take on the genre, while drawing on disco and the jazz of his youth to lend his music its extra special and standout sense of character.
All of this understanding also colours his work in the DJ booth of key clubs and festivals around the world. From Awakenings to the mainstage of Welcome to the Future, via Watergate in Berlin, Rex Club in Paris and Mysteryland with Carl Cox and Jamie Jones, plus various other gigs round the UK, Ibiza and Hungary. Artist, record collector, dreamer, DJ, producer and gentleman of the night – Craig Richards can be described in many ways but most of all he is a storyteller. His ability to bring life, breadth and narrative to everything he does is the secret to his success.
Unlike many of his peers Craig has achieved worldwide recognition by staying in one place. His eighteen year period as artist in residence at Fabric in London has not only defined the musical output of the world’s most famous club but in doing so has shaped British underground music.
The story begins in Bournemouth during the mid-eighties. Whilst working as a rockabilly barber Craig, inspired by visits to London and the madness of bank holidays in his seaside hometown, started organising small gatherings in pubs, basements and a cabaret club. The soundtrack was jazz, funk, reggae, disco and soul. In 1984 he lived in Hollywood – A rough, edgy and forgotten Hollywood where seminal downtown warehouse parties Dirtbox and power tools affected his vision of the future. The energy and excitement of underground parties became part of his existence. Subsequent visits to Paradise Garage, Danceteria and save the robots in New York and then later Shoom, Taboo, The mud club in London cemented a lifelong love of clubs and parties. In 1987 he was given a place at St. Martins School of Art in London, just as acid house fever descended on the Capital. Between studies he and a few friends threw parties in the legendary college coffee bar (where the Sex Pistols performed their first gig). In 1991 Craig was accepted to the Royal college of art where again, he would DJ regularly in the coffee bar to an array of weird and wonderful art students. After college with the full force of acid house and a colourful crowd behind him he began organising larger themed events named ‘Georgie’ in tribute of vintage playboy George Best. The parties were incredibly successful. They were elaborately decorated affairs and took place in film studios and unique spaces around London. During this time Craig worked as an artist making and exhibiting paintings, working as a designer for clients like Absolut Vodka, Paul Smith, Sapporo beer and dancer Michael Clark.
Although Craig played records at his parties he always considered himself more of a record collector than a DJ, however, during the mid nineties with the help of a second turntable, he developed his own quirky and unpredictable sound. A trippy mixture of deep house, dubby techno, bongos, interplanetary disco, funk and abstract beats. In 1997 Craig teamed up with his old friend Sasha and Lee Burridge (who’d just moved back from Hong Kong) and started the infamous monster Tyrant. They held long-standing and soon to be iconic residencies at The End in London and The Bomb in Nottingham. Sasha ‘s early departure from the project left Craig and Lee a turntable each, paving the way for a musical give and take that became instantly recognisable and celebrated at clubs worldwide. Two critically acclaimed Mix CDs defined the hypnotic push pull sound of Lee and Craig playing became known as the Tyrant Soundsystem.
The Tyrant label released music by Sieg Uber Die Sonne, Silicon Scally, Scsi- 9, Swag, Soul Capsule and Transparent Sound.
In 1998 Craig started an underground house night called Freaky Disco in the Soundshaft. previous home of The Drum Club. It then moved to The Cross in Kings Cross. The night brought together guests like Swayzak, Jon Marsh, The Psychonaughts and Derrick Carter. Craig and Terry Francis were residents and they captured a warped and wobbly tech house sound, which led to them being offered a weekly residency at Fabric, which was at that time still a building site. The musical identity of the club would be built around Craig in one room and Terry in another. Skip forward eighteen years and the success of Craig’s weekly residency is integral to the success and worldwide recognition of Fabric. As artist in residence and Musical Director he is responsible for the modern approach taken to the programming of Saturday nights and as a DJ his unique and uncompromising sound provides a unique identity for the club. His early morning sets at the club are the stuff of London legend, never the same and always challenging. He is as an originator, a DJ held in high esteem by all of his peers. The variety in his sets and the versatility with which he adapts to any musical situation – from dub, jazz electro disco and techno. A DJ who really can create a journey for the listener. The influence of his residency is immeasurable. In recent times Fabric experienced an abrupt and unfounded closure and then joyous reopening. Craig is still at the helm, still relevant, still challenging and still there. His residency is without question one of the most significant in Dance music history. Meticulous, matchlessly influential, always based in fact, passionate and full of personality and depth.
The Fabric residency has always meant that travel has been limited but Craig has still found time to have residencies in New Zealand and New York. He plays regularly in Japan and pops up in places where underground music is appreciated and understood. Famously inspired back to back sets with Ricardo Villalobos, Nicolas Lutz and Seth Troxler happen around the globe. In his spare time he paints and makes music.
His label THENOTHINGSPECIAL has released music by Schatrax, Calibre, Trevino, D bridge and to name but a few. Craig’s paintings and drawings appear on all of the covers. More recently he started a seven inch label called Tuppence with releases so far by Radioactiveman, Convextion and Deadbeat. He also has an ongoing collaboration with studio genius Howie B. In 2006 they created the soundtrack for the award winning animation Rabbit and released a limited edition boxset of music, poetry and drawings to accompany the project. An album in conjunction with a book of paintings and poetry is soon to be released.
In early 2009 Craig and David Blamey, his ex-tutor from the Royal College of Art, were invited to make a sonic collaboration entitled ‘Quiet Please’ held at the Royal Academy in London, a group show which included Malcolm McLaren and
William Burroughs. The success of this work led to a subsequent show ‘Quiet Place’ at the Victoria and Albert Museum. They blurred the boundaries between art and a DJ experience creating a multi-layered, otherworldly sound installation using six turntables, four CD players a synthesizer and a microphone.
Aside from the reinstatement of his residency at the club that rose up from the ashes. Craig’s latest undertaking is the curation of an arts and music festival in Norfolk. Every artist has been chosen been personally considered by Craig himself and invited on merit alone.
HOUGHTON aims to fuse art and music over a three day period. A four stage, three day festival, in a beautiful setting with and an existing art collection will happen in August.

Ever since he first stepped foot into the dark and mysterious world of Paris’ legendary Batofar after-parties back in 1998, Dyed Soundorom has been enchanted with the world of DJ. Progressing from the dance floor to promoting events and learning to spin records himself, the Frenchman has become one of the world’s best- known selectors, traversing the globe both as a solo artist and as part of infamous trio Apollonia. Dyed is not only a highly respected DJ, but also a skilled producer, with several classic releases under his belt as well as an album with Apollonia.
Dyed’s journey began at the legendary Kwality parties run by Dan Ghenacia, a DJ who Dyed idolised in those early years. Eventually they became friends and formed a longstanding friendship that formed the unshakeable foundations of his career. These early experiences of Paris’ afterhours soirees undoubtedly shaped the music Soundorom makes and plays today – psychedelic, deep and above all else, groovy.
When Dan launched his Freak N’Chic label, Dyed and Shonky were among the first artists supported by the outlet. Early forays into production resulted in a series of classic releases including the ‘Question’ EP, ‘Remote Cocktail’, ‘Tapioka’ (on Tsuba) and his massive remix of Anthea & Alex Celler’s ‘The Playmaker’. This first wave of Dyed productions helped establish him as a talented producer and catapulted him into the global spotlight. More recently he has clocked up a series of unforgettable remixes including Onno’s ‘Paragroove’ [Moon Harbour], ‘Sunday Gathering’ by Terence :Terry: and Hanfry Martinez [La Vie En Rose], ‘What They Say’ by Maya Jane Coles [Real Tone] ‘Ometeo’ by Dan Ghenacia [Apollonia] among many others as well as a lovely collab with Cajmere, titled 1+1=1 . Each release embodied Dyed’s unmistakeable sound, full of deep grooves and infectious rhythm.
Soon after that first batch of releases his favourite club came knocking at the door and Dyed scored a residency at DC10 Ibiza, playing the infamous Circoloco Mondays. Fast forward a few years and Dyed has become an integral member of the DC10 family, often playing alongside his Apollonia brothers, opening and closing the summer season with their unforgettable sets.
In the years since Dyed first started to make waves he has appeared at a long list of the world’s most respected and influential club spaces from Panorama Bar (Berlin), fabric (London) and Womb (Tokyo) to Robert Johnson (Frankfurt) and DEdge (Sao Paulo) as well as Concrete and Rex Club, in his hometown Paris, the latter where he hosted a residency that ran for a couple of years. He has also appeared at a variety of festivals, transferring the afterhours sound to the big stage. From Burning Man in the United States to Timewarp in Germany, BPM in Mexico, Sunwaves in Romania, DGTL, Loveland & Music On Festival in the Netherlands and Weather in France.
2012 marked an important moment in Dyed’s career with the launch of a label and DJing outfit with best friends Shonky and Dan Ghenacia. Presenting a back-to-back, one-record-each marathon performance, the trio have taken the concept around the world. As a label, it provides a platform for the three to release their own music, as well as other producers they admire and the occasional repress of a classic, too. As a DJ performance it is unique and has won the three men an army of fans all over planet Earth.
In 2018, 20 years since he first fell in love with club culture, Dyed Soundorom remains buoyant and motivated to continue spreading the house and techno gospel. Whether he’s spinning alongside his Apollonia buddies or flying solo, he maintains a high level of professionalism, selecting music to please the body, mind and soul, music that is built on sultry rhythms and irresistible grooves.
One of the leaders of the contemporary French house scene Dyed remains a treasured selector to fans and industry figureheads alike…
Personifying the underground London house sound in every way, you need only listen to a handful of East End Dubs’ releases to understand the deep impact that the city has had on him and his music. Fusing subtle throwbacks to acid-tinged warehouse raves with the groove of UK Garage, his music captures a feeling that can be traced back through the decades as he presents it to a new generation packaged with tight, rolling basslines and the precision drums which have become his production calling card.
Since breaking onto the scene in 2012, EED has put his stamp on proceedings with a focussed ambition and dedication to the craft that has seen him on lineups at venues like DC10, fabric, and Guesthouse in Bucharest. Nominated by DJ Mag for Breakthrough Producer of the Year in 2017 and for Track of the Year with “bRave” in 2019, his releases on labels like Hot Creations, Fuse London and Four Thirty Two have propelled him to the forefront of the scene that he lives and breathes.
A DJ first and foremost, his carefully curated Eastenderz label and events brand has cemented his place as a respected tastemaker in London, providing a platform for supporting new homegrown talent and a way to take the label’s uncompromising party ethos to cities like Berlin, Barcelona and Paris. Recognised for releases and lineups featuring underground heavyweights like Rossi, Toman and Chris Stussy, Eastenderz now sits amongst some of the scene’s most respected imprints and looks set to develop into an integral part of the underground.
Aspiring to categorise his own productions as ‘timeless DJ tools’, EED’s studio output is consistent in every way; garnering regular support from the likes of Ricardo Villalobos, Marco Carola, Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati, his slick approach to stripped-back tech is a masterclass in real house music. His most recent project – Social – serves as a statement of intent for the producer: the result of three years’ work in the studio, it features 30 tracks designed specifically for the dancefloor and was released as a 10-part 12” package that embodies everything East End Dubs stands for.
Using 2020 as an opportunity to further develop his sound and prepare a stack of new material ready to road test, 2021 promises big moves from the Londoner; with an album in the works which will represent the next stage of the East End Dubs journey, expect plenty more open-to-close sets, a growing Eastenderz presence across Europe, and an undeniable injection of EED’s inimitable London sound throughout the underground scene.
When it comes to rave culture there aren’t many artists out there who are as passionate and dedicated as Enzo Siragusa. Fully immersed in the rave movement which swept Britain in the early ‘90s, the Londoner still holds true many of the aspects of that storied era, weaving them through his ambitious ventures, including FUSE which has long been ranked as one of London’s most revered brands. So, whether he’s DJing, making bass heavy cuts in the studio, steering record labels or hosting sellout events, it’s guaranteed to be fueled by a desire to perpetuate the culture that changed his life.
Enzo’s first rave was at the legendary Sanctuary in Milton Keynes in 1993, where cult raves like Dreamscape and Helter Skelter were held. His experiences there left an indelible impression on him; from the power of the music and the sound systems, to the experience of being connected to a diverse yet unified crowd. This formed the foundation of his ongoing ethos; maintaining an equal balance between 1) music and sound, 2) a strong sense of community and 3) the environment, i.e the club itself. These three core aspects are the pillars of Enzo’s rave philosophy and undoubtedly what have made it so successful.
The catalyst behind his early forays into DJing was a healthy obsession with music which led to a very expensive vinyl addiction, one that’s still stacked with house, techno, and UK bass heavy sounds across drum and bass, garage and jungle. Over 20 years on and he’s a world-respected DJ, one whose enthusiasm remains resolute, and one whose shrewd selections have reverberated through hallowed clubs such as London’s fabric and Printworks, Berlin’s Panorama Bar, Leeds’ Mint Warehouse, Space Miami, Paris’ Rex Club, Frankfurt’s Robert Johnson and Manchester’s Warehouse Project.
Of all the clubs he’s played globalwide, 93 Feet East and Village Underground are especially memorable as they were both home to London institution FUSE. Launched in 2008, it started as a Sunday after hours before weaving itself into the fabric of the capital’s club scene with what many refer to as a pure London sound. His meticulous attention to detail is focused mainly on the potency of the sound, understanding the effect that precision can have on the dancefloor. Spurred by crowd-pulling spells at iconic Ibiza clubs Space, DC10, Amnesia and Sankeys, with Enzo at the helm alongside a tight circle of artists, FUSE later emerged as a world-renowned party with offshoots at clubbing haunts across Europe and the US. n line with the party brand, Enzo also heads up Fuse London, Locus and Infuse, three record labels which, alongside the events, act as a thriving ecosystem for the brand to continue to boom.
With the launch of event series E:DIMENSION, his next passion project, Enzo loops back to his early DJing years of playing extended sets. Never losing sight of his raving days in the ‘90s, when crowds would feverishly follow one DJ all night, he has consistently injected a taste of this era through his output over the years, including his recent sell-out All Night Long sessions at fabric, one of which was an impetus for the creation of E:DIMENSION. Opening at Printworks, the events see a reinvigorated Enzo again pay homage to his roots while kicking off a whole new chapter. He stands to bag further opportunity to push his musical boundaries and connect with music heads on a deeper level as he centers long sets, the art of DJING and the journey element of airing a genre- hopping record collection that spans decades.
For nearly two decades, Evan Baggs has been breaking boundaries with an expansive sound on the outer edges of house and techno. The vibe is equal parts Berlin—his home since 2007—and his hometown of New York, where a diverse underground scene first inspired his unique approach to DJing and music making since 1998.
Fueled by a deep passion for record digging and an ear for undiscovered gems, Evan’s sets hint toward breaks, broken beat, electro and acid — all effortlessly mixed together. Meanwhile, his own studio productions have been released on the labels of like-minded global selectors Francesco Del Garda, Binh, Ryan Elliott, DJ Masda and many others.
Focused more on the music than the spotlight, Evan’s sustained and organic rise has earned him a loyal following amongst both discerning crowds and fellow DJs. When not in the studio or the record shop, he can be found playing at the likes of Club Der Visionaere, Fabric or Panorama Bar, and across the world from Tokyo to Tbilisi.
Fonte was born in Malaga but started his career as a DJ in Madrid.
He was always talented hearing to find and collect records. In 2016 he moves to Berlin. Growing his collection while keeping a low profile, Fonte starts earning a reputation as a dedicated digger and passionate DJ. In the last years you can find him playing records in clubs all around the globe.
Born in 1978 , Francesco Del Garda discovered love for electronic music at the age of sixteen , after years of experience and profound evolution he finds his personal style,a perfect blend of funk, techno and groovy house …
Francesco Del Garda’s passion for what he does is clear for all to see: he plays with a smile on his face and gets as much enjoyment from his work as the dancers in front of him. They like to get up close and personal, too, because his sets are filled with unknown gems, overlooked gold and speak of his obsession for unique sounds. Well schooled both technically and musically, the ever-evolving Italian mixes up smooth grooves from house, electro, garage, techno and minimal and joins the dots sweeten the old and the new. No matter the trends of the time, Del Garda has always valued vinyl and when many were going digital he remained true to his roots; to the format he first fell in love with aged 16. In turn, he has turned a new generation onto the delights of wax.
Gene awakens in the hazy sunlight of his own world, heading towards the horizon on the road to everywhere and nowhere all at once. Once a monochrome existence, he’s found himself now submerged in a vivid technicolour.
Connection, this is the concept which represent the experience of deejaying: connection between records, connection between people. A wandering Giammarco Orsini first felt the pull of the record shop at 14, and the experience instantly turned him into a passionate collector.

A globally respected and highly accomplished artist, label boss at the seminal Hot Creations, founder and curator of the worldwide Paradise event series and member of cross-genre band Hot Natured, Jamie Jones has achieved iconic status in the electronic music world. A trendsetter and seasoned tastemaker, the Welsh dance music superstar pioneered his own distinct sound, drawing on his deep knowledge and experience to cultivate DJ sets that weave through a range of diverse, complementary styles selected to energise and enchant the dance floor.
Jamie began to make a name for himself when he became immersed in the infamous East London warehouse party scene in the mid-00s; T-Bar, Kubicle, The End, fabric and many more influential spaces allowed him to make his mark on the city’s scene. Away from the capital, another pivotal outpost was Ibiza, where he spent consecutive summers working and DJing. Jamie’s hard work led to him becoming an integral part of the island and Europe’s music scene. In 2010 he landed a residency at DC-10 for Monday’s world-famous Circoloco day parties. The following year he was voted World’s No.1 DJ in Resident Advisor’s annual poll, remaining in the top 20 until the polls ended in 2017. Jamie has also notched up notable positions in DJ Mag’s coveted DJ charts: No. 68 on their 2020 Top 100 and No. 8 on the outlet’s Alternative Top 100, becoming the highest ranking house DJ in the world. He also appeared in the Top 50 of Billboard’s respected Top 100 list in 2018 and 2019, cementing his place as one of the world’s most respected selectors.
In 2013 he launched one of Ibiza’s most popular parties, Paradise, at DC-10. After eight seasons at the club Jamie announced Paradise would be moving to Amnesia in 2021. Over the years the Paradise brand has hosted sell-out shows all over the world, p artnering with like minded brands and festivals including The Warehouse Project, Printworks, Tomorrowland, Club Space Miami, The Brooklyn Mirage, We Are Fstvl, BPM and Loveland. In 2017 Jamie launched his Paradise in the Park series, an open air party held in Los Angeles. After two successful sell out years Paradise in the Park will evolve into a two day mini festival in 2021. Jamie has been touring consistently since the late 00s, criss-crossing the globe to play at shows from Colombia to Japan, Moscow to Miami and Australia. . His natural talent, versatility and high work ethic form the foundation of his consistent success, leading to headline slots at the world’s most prestigious electronic music venues and festivals – they include ADE, Timewarp, Coachella, Glastonbury, Burning Man, Warung Brazil, Womb Tokyo and many more.
Jamie’s deep passion for music and selecting shines through with every set, his head boppin’ in that trademark style as he channels his unique energy into invigorating dance floors from Sunwaves festival in Romania to closing the main stage at EDC Vegas. In 2018 Jamie started his Las Vegas residency carving out a path for an alternative sound in Vegas, being one of the first non- EDM acts to hold an esteemed residency in the party hub. That same year Jamie expanded his extensive repertoire with the stunning Opus1 show at London’s esteemed Barbican Centre, developing an innovative classical-meets-electronic concept with Kate Simko, performing live with a 25-piece orchestra. Constantly pushing forwards, daring to experiment and diversify, while holding true to his core sound and ethos, Jamie has demonstrated his natural talent and ingenuity time and again.
A committed studio hound since his very early releases Jamie invests his diverse approach to DJing, and upbeat energy, into his productions. From the highly-regarded Don’t You Remember The Future L P to the unstoppable success of his ubiquitous remix of Azari & III’s ‘Hungry For The Power’, Jamie has produced some of the biggest cuts of the last decade. In fact, that era-defining rework won Defected’s Track of the Decade in 2019, coming top after six rounds of voting and over 600,000 votes. Recent hits include his emotive, funk-drenched rework of Bob Moses ‘Enough to Believe’. His close connection with Damian Lazarus’ groundbreaking Crosstown Rebels label has provided the cornerstone of his discography, more recently showcasing his ability to traverse a number of styles with panache via his own Hot Creations label and sub-divisions, HOT TRAX and Emerald City. As a member of Hot Natured Jamie achieved mainstream success and recognition, breaking into the UK Top 40 with the now-classic ‘Benediction’, with two sold out nights at the Brixton Academy, and headline performances at Coachella and Glastonbury. To date, Jamie’s label Hot Creations has put out over 100 releases, celebrating its milestone with ‘Kooky Chords’, from Jamie himself . The label has also helped launch the careers of numerous artists such as Patrick Topping, Richy Ahmed and Detlef, who make up part of the loyal, creative family Jamie has built around him.
Still working tirelessly to spread the house and techno gospel while igniting dance floors all over the world, Jamie Jones remains at the top of his game. His friendly nature, relentless drive and unwavering commitment to the music makes him one of the most respected artists in his field, cultivating a legacy of positive vibes every step of the way.
Mickael Jeanneret is one of a handful of talented rising French DJ-producers signed to Yoyaku, the Paris-based record label, record store, and booking agency. As Janeret, he performs regularly through Europe, but has also toured through Japan, Australia, and the Americas, acknowledged for his energetic sets that incorporate minimal house and breaks. He’s also widely known for his production work: a steady stream of exceptional EPs have established him as “pretty much a purchase-on-sight artist, which is a rarity,” writes one Discogs user.
Janeret grew up in Grenoble, a city in south-eastern France, but has called Paris home since 2010. It was around this time that he began “taking production seriously,” he explains; his earliest experiments had started several years earlier. He marked his relocation to the French capital with a slew of releases on various imprints, but it wasn’t until 2015’s Heat EP that Janeret began to feel comfortable with his production methods and style, a smooth take ondeep house with a solid groove.
The reception of these early works saw Janeret sign to Yoyaku, now a flag-bearer of the French minimal music scene. Under the supervision of Varhat and Benjamin Belaga, the two co-founders, Yoyaku has launched a number of sub-labels through which Janeret and his peers have released, including YYK no label and Aku.
Elsewhere, Janeret also heads up Joule Imprint through which he has released music from Teluric and Roger Gerressen, among others. Janeret launched the label with his 2016 Bright EP which featured a Varhat remix.
Laurine’s roots for her love of house music go very deep, stretching back to her youth which was stirred by a strong fascination with US House and Techno music, which at the time had invaded the European club scene, bringing in a new underground subculture and at the same time exposing Laurine to the possibilities of a life as a DJ, through the discovery of emotion and energy being transmitted between the DJ, the records and the dance floor.
Armed with an old mixer given by a friend and two turntables, Laurine became a regular at her two local records stores, this is before laptops and internet at home, but this is how music should be experienced, relying only on her ears and her instincts while she began collecting her first records. This thirst for recreating that vibe she often had experienced on the other side of the booth would become the catalyst to begin Dj’ing after she decided to leave her hometown in Italy for the warm city lights of Barcelona.
Leaving the politics behind she was able to find a new freedom in the Catalan capital, working the circuit as a warm up DJ and learning the all valuable lesson of how to build a party from the beginning, thus creating the way for the next artist who arrives to a ready and wanting audience. Armed with this new knowledge she moved over to London where she engrossed her culture of vinyl crate digging, seeking new in the old or finding a rare. This missing link completed that full DJ experience and philosophy she had sought since discovering it the first time on the dancefloor.
The next big change and perhaps the most significant was made in Berlin, where a chance meetings with fellow artists Cecilio and S.Moreira brought about the first ideas and discussions for forming a collective group based around a strong musical vibe with a quality sound and energy. The proof was ever made present when together they hosted a Slow Life showcase at the infamous Club de Visionaere to great success, the potential was realized and Slow Life became the vehicle behind their concept.
In a world of musical superficiality and set trends with over hyped hysteria, it is hard to find real and authentic music behind honest and true artists. Yet there are exceptions to the rule and Laurine is proof of this, it can be heard in her music and from her records she so dutifully covets and endlessly seeks. She is leading a little revolution that is fighting the gross digitalization of music and steering people back to the right path of a truer sound.
Lola Haro burst into the scene in 2018 with a fresh selection of warm sounds and an intuition for creating the right mood. Her love and passion for music and her authentic approach have been refreshing and gained her a lot of recognition within the Belgian club scene.
During her short career she managed to earn a residency at Paradise City Festival and C12, Brussels. Additionally, she got her first Boiler room appearance under her belt, was awarded as “Most Promising artist of 2019” by Red Bull Elektropedia and hosted her own weekly radio show on Studio Brussel.
Exciting times are ahead as Lola will launch her own label and event series during 2022. Small steps but always forward.
While refining his craft in the sweaty underground European clubs at the end of the last century, Luciano has become a true landmark of excellence and devotion to electronic music. Remaining true to his juvenile passion, his enchanting charisma has remained untouched despite his never ending face-off with ever-growing challenges.
Born in Switzerland and raised in Santiago, Luciano fell under the spell of Detroit first and second wave of producers. Determined to share his passion for techno, he spun records in clubs where disgruntled rock fans stubbed out cigarettes on his vinyl. But Luciano carried on, gradually winning a loyal following and pushing dance music to uncharted territories in Chile. Not only DJing but also promoting Sense Club and Encuentros Con La Technocultura in Santiago de Chile together with many pioneers of the Latin American Electronic Music Scene: Señor Coconut AKA Atom Heart, Ricardo Villalobos, Dandy Jack just to name a few.
He was a pioneer during the 90s in the electronic music scene in Chile together with Euphoria, Sidharta, Adrian Schop, Dj Down, Zikuta and many others. By the age of 21 his DJ career was blossoming as he was playing to thousands of ravers at Santiago’s parque Almagro or Love Parade. His love of music had brought him fame, but despite this huge success in his land, he forged ahead and moved to Europe, determined to face new challenges. He humbly made his way into the inner circles of the scene, thanks also to his South American associations, like Ricardo Villalobos and Dandy Jack, but ultimately finding and refining his own unique sound and style, an irresistible combination of minimalistic techno and hot-blooded. Latin rhythms. A blend of emotions, rythm’s and melodies.
Starting with a string of outstanding releases on acclaimed imprints such as Perlon, Peacefrog, Mental Groove, M_nus, Transmat, Playhouse, Klang Electronic, Metroplex, Novamute and many others Luciano founded Cadenza Records in 2003, a label that has become a trademark of excellence, brought a new genre of music and trend setting within electronic Dance music.
Luciano vaulted himself into the annals of Ibiza dance history in 2006 by forming a partnership with Circoloco over a 3 year residency. In 2009, Luciano relighted the underground nightlife of the Isla Blanca with a free event at the Ushuaïa beach bar which soon turned into the biggest party of the summer. From then on, a Sunday residency at Pacha gave birth to the Vagabundos concept in 2010, leading him and his dandy fellowship of beatmakers to become the hottest summer sensation. The Luciano & Friends residencies were featured throughout the summers of 2012 & 2013 at the new Ushuaïa Hotel which had morphed from a tiny beach bar into a megaclub nested into an extraordinary hotel. During the summer of 2014 the Origins party turned Amnesia upside down. In 2017, Luciano & Friends was hosted on selected Thursday evenings at the beautiful open-air Destino for the past four summer.
2018 was the year of the celebration for the 15 years of his Cadenza label, which at the moment counts more than 120 releases; Luciano decided to release a distinctive series of 4 records entitled “Sequentia”, each one for a season of the year.
At the same time, the Vagabundos traveled to new countries: Cluj (Romania), Sofía (Bulgaria) and Dubai. Furthermore, they inflamed the dancefloors of Koko (London), Fabrik (Madrid) and Pacha (Ibiza), while in August they took part at the massive Street Parade in Zurich. During the summer, Luciano was also the headliner of Dystopia at Ushuaïa (Ibiza), a fresh successful open festival-like concept. Finally in November, Luciano organized in Santiago de Chile the incredible Magik Garden Festival, attended by more than 10’000 people at the Piscinas Broadway; 15 hrs of music in which an handful of South-American djs joined Luciano himself, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin and Loco Dice. This was one of the strongest moment of his extensive south american tour & allows him to release two compilations focussed on Cadenza south american artists.
The following year, the 2nd edition of the festival has been another huge achievement; it featured a new Techno stage which hosted Chris Liebing, Matador and Nastia and an attendance of more than 10’000 people with heavyweight global artists as Sven Väth, James Jones Stephan Bodzin and Bedouin. This initiative, together with long-lasting 2019 tour in Mexico (including the huge Resistance festival), Argentina, and many other countries of South-America, has even strengthened the permanent tie of Luciano with his home continent; and also North America, the birthplace of House and Techno music has been fundamental for him throughout this last year, with selected successful shows in Detroit, Chicago, New York and Miami.
During the summer, Vagabundos returned to Amnesia in Ibiza transformed into the up-to-date VGBDOS concept, a new interpretation of night clubbing essential, testified with a dj mix digital compilation titled “Luciano & cadenza presents VGBDOS Ibiza – Summer 2019”. 2019 has been also the the year of Luciano’s remix of the historical “Acid Track” by Chicago legends Phuture, of the touching “Canción Mapuche” with the evoking voice of Katy Prado, and of the stunning rework of “Llovizna” for his own Cadenza imprint.
2020, due to the worldwide pandemic and confinement allowed him to release 3 new maxis:”Luci Neu House” and ”The Evasion Of The Spiritual Soldier” on the Japanese label: Mule Musiq. ”Nature Reverance” on Basaec / Cadenza. And a remix of ”Atom” – KCPK on PIAS Records, of Rony Seikaly ” What for ‘ & of ”Madre ( Feat La Nena )” for Lou Gorbéa & José Burgos on Nervous Records.
The first half of 2021 will see a Maxi Single on Cadenza with two remixes by Luciano for Thylacine and Mehari. Stay tuned.
Lucien remains a tireless globe-trotter led by an heart-felt passion for electronic music and a sincere love for dancers and music lovers all around the world, which spread true joy and positive vibrations, smiles and unity.
In 2013, the three guys Nick Putman ((Malin Genie), Charlie Naffah ((Lazare Hoche) and Samuel André Madsen ((S.A.M.))met in a home studio in Paris. Mandar was formed. The combination of each of their styles as producers and DJ’s has become a unique synthesis combining the old with the new, the classic with the innovative, and thus thrusting the Mandar project on a constantly developing jam based voyage.
Mathew Jonson really is one of a kind. He’s developed one of the most distinctive voices in electronic dance music: when you hear one of Jonson’s tracks, you almost immediately know it’s his. And yet there’s no mistaking any given track for another. His music offers a rare fusion of populist intensities and nuanced musicality. With a keen understanding for the needs of the dance floor and the universal laws of house and techno, he’s thrown out the rule book time and time again, sneaking tricks learned from electro and even drum’n’bass into the clubs, and loading up his B-sides with tracks that do what they damned well please. (No kick drum? No problem.) His standards for sound and presentation are exacting. Both on stage and in the studio, Jonson’s fealty to analog equipment and real-time playing; as opposed to mere layback-serves as a standard bearer for a kind of electronic music that goes way beyond the drag ‘n’ drop world of digital composition.
Jonson has always been eager to get his hands dirty, and the music reflects that in gnarled bass sequences and long, intuitive lines. His sounds have serious teeth. Despite his quick ascent through the ranks of the techno elite, Jonson hasn’t just stayed personally grounded. He’s devoted much of his energy to supporting his own close musical family, in the groups Cobblestone Jazz, Midnight Operator and the Modern Deep Left Quartet, and with his Wagon Repair label. He studied classical piano as a kid, plus jazz drumming, and played drums in a marching band – thus laying both the melodic and the rhythmic cornerstones of his music today. Thanks to his father’s work as a musician, he also got his hands on synthesizers at the age of 9. By the time he discovered hip-hop as a young teen, he was recreating its electro-based beats on his own rudimentary setup at home.
Jonson gradually began honing in on his own sound, both in his productions and his DJ sets, inspired by a deeper, weirder sound that had begun filtering into the Victoria’s techno parties. His first record, in 2001, was the first release on Itiswhatitis (a label Mathew bought from its original owner 11 years later). Another followed in 2002, and in 2003. That year, he also made his first appearance on Perlon, ‘Alpine Rocket’ – a track he recorded alongside Luciano during his first trip to Europe. And then, suddenly, Jonson was everywhere: Sub Static, Arbutus, Kompakt, M_nus – and every track an anthem. “I had all that music saved up,” says Jonson, “and then, just by chance, released it all at the same time. People criticized me for it, said that it wasn’t a good idea. But it worked out for me. All the tracks did well. I wasn’t saturating the market with bad music.” He’s right there. In 2004 he was voted “Best Producer” in Germany’s Groove Magazine.
In 2005, Jonson co-founded Wagon Repair, and it’s been a blur since, a nonstop series of tours and recordings, solo and with his band mates. Seeming unstoppable in 2006 he took top spot as “Best Producer” and “Best Live Act” in the Groove Mag Leser*innenpoll. Crucially, he moved to Berlin. His studio here is jaw-dropping, frankly: a semi-circle full of gear, from old workhorses like the 808 and 909 and SH-101 to unique beasts like their Cwejman and Roland System 100m modular system. Tate’s Rhodes piano anchors one corner of the horseshoe, and everything feeds into a massive desk where tracks are mixed and recorded in real-time. His two hands have come up with some remarkable material.
Having perfected his brand of earthshaking epic with tracks like ‘Marionette’ and ‘Decompression’, Jonson has increasingly turned his efforts towards more personal, introspective music. He never left the clubs behind though; his 2010 album, Agents of Time, featured a number of tracks that are as hip-winding wily as anything he’s produced yet, full-on tracks like ‘Girls Got Rhythm’ and ‘Thieves in Digital Land’. Equally physical was his 2011 drop on Richie Hawtin’s M_nus, ‘Learning To Fly’, and the well-received ‘Automaton’ on Crosstown Rebels. His 2013 album, On Her Blurry Pictures, too; here Jonson took advantage of the long player format to stretch out and indulge darker moods and slower tempos, but the core of the record remained rooted in a dancefloor context.
In 2015, Mathew fulfilled his long-standing ambition of contributing to Fabric’s esteemed mix series. Fabric84 is a recording of his set at the club’s 15th birthday, during which he played a number of his classic tracks and unreleased edits. The energy of the occasion and the particular way Mathew performs his material blend perfectly, capturing a singular and very special set on CD.
In 2016 Mathew released an album with Units and Measurements and another in 2019 as his new alias Freedom Engine entitled “A Box Full Of Magic”.
Continuing to tour his in-demand solo live show in 2021, which has consistently ranked amongst Resident Advisor’s top 20, Mathew has recently remixed Goldie, Rone, Joseph Capriati feat. Byron Stingily & Eric Kupper, (to add to his past work including Moby, Cybotron, The Chemical Brothers, Nelly Furtado, Inner City, The Martinez Brothers, Seth Troxler, and VCMG – Vince Clarke & Martin Gore).
In response to the pandemic Mathew founded an online educational platform alongside 7 hand-picked professionals from the field that would accompany him as mentors. Freedom Engine Academy being a great success is about to start its second semester in 2022. This new incarnation of energy is giving back to the music industry in the best way Mathew knows how, sharing his love for rhythm, dance and collaboration.
Twenty years on from his debut release, ‘New Identity’, Mathew’s sound and reputation as an artist have developed as you would expect for someone so richly and widely talented.
From Jupiter to Berlin and countless capitals in between, Nicolas Lutz has always operated best on the very outskirts of dance floor culture. A master of mystery and relentless seeker, his knack for unearthing precious gemstones -for immediate exploitation and then, slowly but surely, the greater good of the community- is uncanny, and its this insistence on clearing a path between the unknown and the utterly unexpected that elevate his sets into explorations of faraway lunar landscapes and charters through the depths of murky seas. Never one to compromise or contradict a steadfast musical philosophy, one only needs to see the owner of My Own Jupiter in action to understand the existence of his cult following.
Known for dancing in between different genres and styles, juggling the tradition and the avant-garde, O.BEE generates obscure yet familiar sonic landscapes, in a signature style that reflects his own musical identity; optimistic yet rebellious and filled by passion. Liberating the dance floor from the accustomed rules and stepping away from functional expectations, he instead cultivates musical trips for both the dancer and the listener. Juxtaposing the stimulating environments of both a intense rave and a concert hall.
As a regular in his hometown Istanbul, and in his current base New York, where he completed his studies in Contemporary Music in the New School and continues to develop his refined take on dance music, O.BEE has built up an arsenal of gems through countless hours of digging. His ability to seamlessly to put together music that would not necessarily be correlated with one another has allowed him to receive acclaim and gain respect from the most serious heads to the most naive dancers as he continues to expand the borders of his undefinable sound.
After bouncing around parties for several years he joined the ReSolute family, a new home, where he has had the honors of hosting and accompanying many artists, such as Zip, Chez Damier, Sonja Moonear, Thomas Melchior, Fumiya Tanaka, a:pria:r, that have been true inspirations for him. Recent years have seen him travel beyond the horizons of the big apple, returning to Istanbul for Suma Beach, MU and minimuzikhol, also taking on days and nights at Unleash and Colors in London, Hoppetosse, Tresor, CDV, Salon zur Wilden Renate and Heidegluhen in Berlin, Rex Club and Sundae in Paris, Macarena Club in Barcelona, to name a few. While also finding a place for himself in accomplished festivals such as Comunite Festival in Mexico, Polifonic in Italy, Chillout and Big Burn Festivals in Turkey, UVA Festival in Spain and Okeechobee in America, sharing his unique record collection with the world, on the bill with visionaries such as Mulatu Astatke, Ambiq and Thievery Corporation. In October 2017 he was invited to perform alongside other Turkish artists in Boiler Room’s Istanbul special, closing out the session after an array of wide acts and DJ sets.
O.BEE’s evocative and sophisticated approach to his sets is also reflected in his own music. He has been working hard in and out of the studio with his partner, Rona Budak, on their project “Enstantane”, which functions as both a record label and an multi-disciplinary artist collective. Enstantane 001 is to be released in the second half of 2018, along with an event series and the subscription based website enstantane.io.
Berlin’s Paul Kalkbrenner is a unique international talent. After several chart topping albums, amassing millions of fans and headlining festival mainstages around the world he has become one of techno’s biggest superstars.
In the year following his eighth and most personal album, Parts Of Life, Paul Kalkbrenner was in perpetual motion. A 2019 European solo tour saw him sell over 100,000 tickets, and become a fixture on festival mainstages normally reserved for rockstars.
Following Parts Of Life, Kalkbrenner has been equally prolific in studio, with a string of releases that have included singles No Goodbye, Parachute and the Speak Up EP. These releases are a departure from Paul’s traditional album format, and mark an evolution in his artistic approach, that can be traced back to his 2017 Back To The Future project, signifying a freer, less inhibited and looser approach to his creative process. These new releases have been some of Paul’s best received to date, with No Goodbye registering over 20 million streams, and Parachute securing a coveted Pete Tong Essential New Tune and widespread radio airplay across the globe upon its release.
Paul Kalkbrenner’s demanding productions are full of energy; they exist to take listeners away from the everyday, from the weekly grind, into rapture—into art, ecstasy, absurdity, friendship, hope and love. Just 12 years old when the Berlin Wall fell in 1989. Techno music became a way of expression and for many, Paul included, the soundtrack of Germany’s reunification. In the autumn of 1992, together with his friend Sascha Funke, he started DJing at local youth clubs. Very quickly Paul and Sascha were either DJing or obsessively collecting records as electronic dance music’s first tidal wave spilled over dance floors in Berlin’s soon-to-be legendary clubs Tresor, Planet, Walfisch and e-werk. As much fun as DJing was, Paul wanted to play his own music live.
His first tracks were released on Ellen Allien’s newly founded Bpitch Control label in 1999. In contrast to the darker, monotone sounds that characterized techno at the time, Paul’s music was more melodic and enriched with a warm, dubby feel. After a number of 12″ singles, Paul realised he was better suited producing albums. In 2000, he released ‘Superimpose’, followed by ‘Zeit’ one year later. His third album, ‘Self’ from 2004, resonated beyond the dancefloor and took the cinematic quality of his music to new heights— an indication of what was to come next.
In 2004, Berlin-based film director and self-confessed Kalkbrenner fan, Hannes Stoehr, got in touch with Paul. He was planning to make a movie about an electronic musician in Berlin’s techno scene and wanted Paul to produce the soundtrack. As the script for the film developed, Hannes suggested Paul might be perfect in the starring role. Paul produced some of his most diverse and mature compositions yet, which would later make up the soundtrack for ‘Berlin Calling’. He started shooting the movie upon his return to Berlin, with the result being an unconventional but outstanding performance. Somewhere between Paul Kalkbrenner and his character Ickarus, an intimate dialogue developed between actor and audience.
Berlin Calling’ became a surprise hit, and a German cult movie in its own right. It drew audiences all around Europe and stayed on the big screen at Berlin’s Central Kino for several years. The soundtrack went platinum and the single „Sky and Sand“spent over 121 consecutive weeks in the German singles charts—a German record.
At the end of 2009, Paul split with his longtime label Bpitch Control to form his own independent imprint, Paul Kalkbrenner Musik. A sold-out European tour and a documentary followed. The documentary remains an intimate insight into Paul’s life on the road, sprinkled with his dry, deadpan humour. Between June 2011 and November 2012 Paul released his fifth and sixth studio albums ‘Icke Wieder’ and ‘Guten Tag’. These two self-released albums went top five in his native Germany, with ‘Guten Tag’ also topping the charts in Switzerland.
In 2013 he completed a tour in USA, Canada and Europe with stops at the Coachella Festival, headlining Rock En Seine and Pukkelpop. His remarkable live performances saw him earn headliner positions for renowned festivals such as Garorock, Hurricane, Southside and Electric Picnic, alongside Florence & The Machines, Iggy Pop, Kendrick Lamar, blur, The Libertines and Nicki Minaj.
In 2014 Germany’s Federal Government asked him to play a headlining show in front of the Brandenburg Gate in a historic ceremony commemorating the 25th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall. He performed to over 400,000 people, it was another milestone moment in Paul’s career
Paul signed a long-term deal with Sony International/Columbia in March 2015. The album, aptly titled ‘7’, was released in August 2015, and it saw Paul work with vocals for the first time since his chart-topping, record-breaking single „Sky and Sand“. But it wasn’t just any voices. In an unprecedented move by the label, Sony and Columbia provided him total access to their Legacy vaults, allowing him to incorporate vocals from previously-unsampled music icons Luther Vandross and Jefferson Airplane.
The album was a success across Europe, hitting No. 1 on the charts in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Top Ten in Italy, Spain, Belgium and the Netherlands. It earned plaudits from the New York Times, Der Spiegel, Village Voice, Mixmag, and others.
In 2017 he celebrated his underground Berlin roots with his “BACK TO THE FUTURE” mixtape series, a trilogy that chronicles his personal history of electronic music’s arrival to Germany as heard on the radio during his teenage years. The series went viral, amassing over 1,5 Million downloads. A 10 country BACK TO THE FUTURE tour sold out within minutes.
2018 saw him release his eighth studio album, Parts Of Life, a definitive record for Paul, deeply personal, imbued with invigoration, a raw embodiment of Paul’s inimitable grand techno sound.
Mysterious and fresh, Praslea is already a big name on the Romanian scene, and one of the regulars rocking the crowds worldwide. His clockwork mixing precision and smooth selection helped him gain attention time after time and made him a key local figure and for sure one of our favourites.
Between gigs across Europe, Praslea finds enough time to work on his own production projects, most notably being Praslesh, a duo that already made its first mark on the Understand label.

Quest class, 1992, influenced by the Alien army and by the special technique of shadowboxing… fresh jefe of La Nota Del Diablo.. Like the Beast, it goes by many names: Diabolus in musica (devil in music), the devil’s interval, the tritone, the triad and the flatted fifth. As its Latin moniker suggests, it’s an evil sounding combination of notes that’s designed to create a chilling or foreboding atmosphere.. an atmosphere that characterizes his sets showcasing a vast collection of unearthed genre bending gems ranging across the electronic spectrum from outrè techno to ukg whippers.

Reiss has been a pivotal figure of the Amsterdam house and techno underground for quite some time. His extensive record collection, combined with a refined sense of (club)atmosphere, enables him to create cohesion and unison on the dance floor. His sound can be described as a delicate flow of rhythms and soundscapes spiced up with occasional and surprising idiosyncrasies. Reiss is a close affiliate of the Amsterdam based VBX crew. Besides regular DJ appearances at their events, he has also released on the VBX label in collaboration with brother in beats Ferro, under their Spokenn moniker.
Recently Reiss has made the decision to leave his day job in order to fully pursue his artistic career. He is more determined than ever to realize his full potential; both in the studio as well as behind the decks. Reviving his label Dialegestai, which started off with two strong and well received releases before going silent, is also becoming a priority again. Something special was developing in London’s rave culture during the mid-2000’s. A generation of like-minded artists and promoters with similar tastes in house and techno formed a genuine scene with a spirit and alchemy that has propelled its instigators far and wide. Rich NxT was enjoying being part of the movement, frequenting the many seminal East London venues we still talk about now.
Born in 2008, FUSE London carved its own unique position on the scene with its legendary Sunday free parties at 93 Feet East. As one of FUSE’s original residents, Rich played a major part in the brand’s evolution, helping take it from a free afterparty to one of the most respected event brands and labels on the planet. As a core FUSE artist, Rich has delivered 11 classy EPs on the FUSE London imprint. In October 2020, the debut album ‘Know the Score’ lands, his crowning career achievement. The 10-tracker spans the full breadth of the house genre and is the culmination of 20 years production work, taking influence from his varied involvement in music as a DJ, raver, drummer in bands and pirate radio devotee, devouring the sounds on Weekend Rush FM.
Elsewhere the DJ/producer draws on his strongly identifiable sound to run two vinyl imprints, NxT Records and What NxT. The tastemaker favourites draw influence from techno and minimal house, while never forgetting Rich’s raver roots taking influence from jungle and hardcore.
His DJ highlights include appearances at most of the scene’s major venues such as DC-10 (Paradise, Cuttin’ Headz) Watergate, Space, Amnesia, Robert Johnson, Warehouse Elemenstratt, Mint Warehouse, Tobacco Docks, Studio 338 and The Warehouse Project. At the same time, he is versatile enough to command the decks over long sets at intimate venues such as Hopetosse, Ibiza Underground, Amsterdam’s BRET and CDV in Berlin. Festival appearances in 2019 included Cocoon in The Park, BPM and Mint Festival.
Releasing regularly, he’s gained the support of many other DJs including The Martinez Brothers, tINI, Marco Carola, Enzo Siragusa, Jamie Jones, wAFF, Steve Lawler, MEAT, Matthias Kaden, East End Dubs, Alan Fitzpatrick, Eats Everything and Darius Syrossian.
Prior to his ‘Know The Score’ album dropping, Rich enjoyed an industrious first half of 2020, including a huge EP on WYLD, collaborative work with Darius Syrossian (Moxy Muzik) and remixes for INFUSE, Moan and SASH.
Meanwhile he continues to demonstrate a very keen ear with What NxT delivering the goods for new and established artists alike. Rich also continues his radio residency on Rinse FM with Fuse London and launches a new weekly show on Ibiza Global Radio

The Berlin-based artist, well-known for his clandestine ‘Cerca Trova’ parties, held in illegal basements & warehouses from 2006 pathed the way for marathon sets and legendary after-hours nurturing his skills and reputation in the city.
This was his base which leads to an invitation from Fuse to become one of the original residents starting at the scene-defining 93 Feet East in 2008, Amnesia in Ibiza in 2017 and a world tour honoring its 10th anniversary this year.
In Addition, he continues as A&R for Infuse (Sister label of Fuse London), featuring regularly on Rinse FM, Fuse’s monthly prime time radio slot as well his continuing his reputable project & label with Archie Hamilton as ‘Arkityp’ – all of which will see releases from the above this year. 2019 is already shaping to eclipse the success of last year with more focus on production & output with the launch of his own record label; ‘Late Night Skanking’.
This will be his headquarters giving him the freedom to connect the dots between Techno, House & Garage with a nod to the past but a message from the future. Rossko kick-starts the label off with the 1st release weaving his own unique sound and blurring the lines with his direction. It seems only one word can describe the year ahead; in his own words, he simply replies; XL.
Samuel Deep owes his short but successful career to modesty, dedication and ambition. This brought him to play in the biggest clubs in Europe like Panorama bar and Fabric along side artists as Ryan Elliot, DVS1 and Margret Dygas. Samuel also plays with his brother Julian Alexander under the name Ingi Visions.
In March 2018, Samuel released his fresh second EP MOOV! on SlapFunk records. With support from Resident Advisor who gave him the nick name “The King of Swing” and a summer full of festivals and great clubs shows coming up, it looks like Samuel is finally emerging from the underground to take a well deserved spot at the table.
“I live to work on projects and build ideas that sit at the point where art, commerce and ideas meet. For me, this idea of creation, is really the essence of life.”
Seth Troxler is one of electronic music’s most instantly recognisable artists. He has carved out his own unique path as a cultural commentator, art curator, restaurateur and entrepreneur. Descended from a family of cowboys and Baptist preachers, Seth is part African-American, with a singular approach to viewing the world through the prism of contemporary music culture.
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and raised in suburban Detroit, Seth learnt the art of DJing initially from his stepfather (then a college radio DJ) and later from working, at only 16, behind the counter in legendary Detroit record store ‘Melodies & Memories’. It wasn’t until Seth made the decision to explore new horizons in the mid-2000s, moving to Berlin fresh out of his teens (after debuting at Panorama Bar at just 18 years old), that his DJ career really took off.
Since the move from Detroit to Berlin, then settling in London for a number of years, and now with his time divided between Ibiza and Berlin (Round 2), Seth has established himself as one of the world biggest DJs (voted the world’s number one DJ in scene bible Resident Advisor and gracing the front cover of Mixmag three times). He’s equally at home playing to the smoke-filled dance floors of some of the world’s most discerning nightclubs, such as CircoLoco, fabric (London), Nordstern (Basel), The Lux (Lisbon) or Blitz (Munich), as he is headlining the world’s largest festivals, like Glastonbury, Movement, Roskilde or Sonar.
Right from the word go, Seth has been as passionate about food and contemporary art as he is about music, and these two interests have resonated at all points, and in parallel, to his music career. A multi-faceted modern artist: he has held residencies at talismanic music institutions, run numerous record labels, and pursued his own solo recording career (including the recent ‘Play In The Dark’ collaboration with the Martinez Brothers on Crosstown Rebels, and ‘Lumartes’ that kick started CircoLoco Recordings in Summer 2021). Furthermore Seth has found the time to launch the successful Smokey Tails’ restaurant in London, to create and host his own party during the Rio Carnival, and then to stop everything and to take the time out to climb Kilimanjaro for charity.
More recently Seth has focussed his creative energies on his ‘Lost Souls of Saturn’ <www.lostsoulsofsaturn.com> project, alongside Phil Moffa and further opaque participants, that sits firmly at the intersection between futuristic electronica, contemporary art and technology. In 2019 Lost Souls Of Saturn presented their audio/visual installation Transmission at the Saatchi Gallery in London, after its premiere during Art Basel in Switzerland, and collaborated with the Met in New York and the Fondation Beyeler in Basel in 2021. Lost Souls Of Saturn are currently recording their second album and conducting further experiments in augmented reality and virtual reality, which will be revealed soon.
Extremely well travelled, constantly searching and experiencing, Seth Troxler continues to follow his own unique path.
Sonja Moonear is representative of many DJs at the top level of the so-called minimal scene. She’s relaxed about publicity, slick behind the decks and, perhaps most importantly, has a keen eye for the dance floor.
And just like most of the others, Moonear doesn’t release much music, which means she’s made her way to the top by simply playing great DJ sets. Moonear cut her teeth as a DJ in Geneva around the turn of the century as a resident at the city’s key club, Weetamix. Perlon chief Zip was a regular guest at the venue and, as Moonear told the fabric blog in 2013, he invited her to play in Berlin after she warmed up for him a few times.
“I will never forget this moment,” she said. Moonear now ranks among dance music’s most in-demand selectors, with a versatile and rhythmic style that takes in a broad cross-section of house, techno and minimal.
Berlin based DJ & Producer Sugar Free has racked up a cascade of gigs, leaving her name echoing across the party scene. Born to a highly musical family, Alejandra was encouraged early on to explore her talent, forming a deep affection for records and everything music, and nurturing a passion that would become the seed for her now blossoming care. Sugar Free has cemented her reputation as a versatile artist, keeping herself unboxed within a specific genre and capable of blending a variety of genres and moods creating the perfect concoctions of sounds for a variety of diverse surroundings.
French-American, 26 years old. Sweely’s musical interests were drawn from his earliest days, to a broad range of musical styles including Rock , Hip hop, Jazz and World which greatly contributed to shaping his sound signature.
Sweely spends much of his time exploring every musical instrument which pops into his hands, with a special taste for percussions, guitars and keyboards.
Sweely is often described as one of the most creative and eclectic French producers of the new generation, effortlessly navigating between house and electro, as demonstrated by his releases on Distant Hawaii, Lobster Theremin and Concrete Music to name a few.
His deep, energizing live performances earned him residency at the infamous – now closed – CONCRETE club in Paris.

The Martinez Brothers are two of the most recognizable global stars in house, techno, and club culture.
Introduced to disco and house music by their father from a young age, they come from the roots of New York’s legacy club, The Paradise Garage. While known for producing club records heavily supported throughout the scene and DJ’ing extended marathon sets, in 2014 they also founded their record label, Cuttin’ Headz. Since first hitting the road at ages 15 and 17, they have gone on to perform around the world regularly selling out some of the largest venues and hosting stages at the biggest global music festivals. Despite a global tour schedule, The Martinez Bros have stayed true to the NYC culture that raised them. Authenticity is everything; it’s clear why these two are the leaders within dance music’s new guard.
As one of Munich’s finest exports, tINI has been carving out her own musical path already from a very early age. Her interest in different rhythms and music styles was always widespread, learning how to play the drums from her dad and listening to New wave and Indie till she later finds herself as a collector of underground Hip Hop Vinyl in the mid 90ies and having her first attempts in mixing those.
She is now widely regarded as a female key figure in the world of underground house and techno music.
Starting her electronic DJ career in 2003 by hosting her own « tINI All Night Long » events in Munich and several residencies, it wasn’t long till she was then touring the globe as a support DJ for some major artists and later criss-crossing the planet as a solo artist in her own right, which she has done ever since.
After launching her tINI and the Gang events and brand in 2010, she earned herself a glittering reputation as a widely-respected artist and promoter with a good heart, extensive vinyl collection, exemplary DJ skills and a killer discography.
Gaining more and more interest and knowledge in electronic music production she produces and releases her first own track « That’s right » in 2009 followed by her debut album « Tessa » in 2011 and several EPs and remixes in the following years.
In 2018 she started her own label Part of the Gang records with the first release from tINI herself followed by the second release (by Bodeler) which will be dropping at the end of 2019.
In 2020 she will celebrate 10 years of tINI and the Gang, a platform that has supported upcoming artists and talents ever since its launch.
The gang was founded on the magical white island, Ibiza – one of tINI’s key influences.
Comfortable playing on a big festival stage as well as in an intimate club or dancefloor, tINI brings years of experience and musical knowledge to every gig, blending a wide range and variety of electronic music styles from old school house and techno to stripped down deeper sounds with her own unique mixing style and musical DNA as a highly regarded producer, label owner, party mastermind and all-round positive being.
Deeply. Impulsively. tINI.
Growing up between Bogotá and Chicago, Tomás experienced at an early age a clash of cultures and sounds that would open doors to a lifelong musical obsession. He received formal music training during his youth, playing both piano and drums, and participated in several bands ranging in styles from Hardcore Punk to Jazz. During a summer visit to Chicago during his teenage years he stumbled across the legendary Gramaphone Records and discovered a world that would change everything for him.
Upon returning to Colombia, dreaming of drum machines and synthesizers, he formed Downpitch Recordings alongside labelmates Dorado and Bruno Anthony. The label served as a platform for their sonic development and experimentation while allowing them to preserve the vinyl tradition-and quality-over- quantity ethos that seemed to be absent in the local scene at that time. Deeply rooted in House, but with an outsider approach, Downpitch would also establish cultural bridges between cities, and by working hand in hand with their Chicago and Detroit precursors, contribute to what some refer to as a recent dance music renaissance in Colombia.
For the past few years Tomás has kept on the move, constantly searching for new sounds and experiences, rapidly building a reputation for himself as an exciting up-and-coming talent. His productions on labels such as Dailysession NY, Descendants Of The Deep, Moody Recordings and Future Funktion have captivated the likes of Danny Krivit, Raresh, Magda and Douglas Sherman (The Loft), to name a few, while his electrifyingly unpredictable taste as a DJ and curator has earned him more than one spot at the decks alongside some of the most respected selectors and DJ’s around.
While living in NY he worked as music buyer for Halcyon The Shop and as booker and resident for Kolekti and Zodiac Social, hosting parties with Soul In The Hole (Sadar Bahar & Lee Collins), Metro Area & Mark Grusane, amongst many others. He recently returned to Brooklyn after some years on the road to work on his most recent endeavours which include Jigit, a record label and collective alongside Turkish DJ and producer O.BEE and visual artist Asli Tunaman that released his debut EP under the Irie Nation moniker and to consolidate his long time friendship with the ReSolute party and agency where he will be joining the roster and acting as one of the resident DJ’s.
Straight from the Paris underground comes Traumer, an artist who has an innate ability to weave subtle narratives and deeply nuanced rhythms into his mesmerising music. The mastermind behind Gettraum, a platform where he releases his experimentations with house on a minimal tip, Traumer delivers hypnotic performances and music that has the support of his peers and idols. Now beginning a new phase of his musical career, joining the Lola ED family and starting a second label, plus a residency at Rex Club and several other key projects, Traumer’s story is about to enter an exciting chapter…
Though he was born and raised in Avignon, Traumer calls Paris home nowadays. He has been living and working in the French capital for several years now after deciding to move there to pursue his dream of becoming a full-time musician. In the years since he made that pivotal choice to dedicate his life to his craft, Traumer has clocked up some impressive achievements.
His dexterity in the studio is evident in his back catalogue with straight up techno released with powerhouse labels like Cocoon and Desolat, with more recent cuts focused on a deeper, more considered house sound. Perfect for hypnotising dance floors, he has cultivated a mature sound that is subtle yet moves the body. Organic sounding percussion and pulsating basslines work in unison at the core of his productions, with deep grooves that lock you in tight and refuse to relent.
This sound has caught the attention of promoters around the globe, leading to gigs from Amnesia in Ibiza to Rex Club in Paris, Button Factory (Dublin), Metro Dance Club (Alicante) and internationally renowned festivals such as Exit festival in Serbia, Igloofest (Canada), B.My.Lake (Hungary) and Astropolis Festival. He is the bossman at his own label; Gettraum, which has become universally respected in the short time it has been around. Launched in early 2016, Gettraum has allowed to Traumer to fully explore his penchant for killer basslines and ethnic influences. In his music you can hear tablas from India, strings and wind instruments from the Middle East and deep pan-African rhythms merged with the rich history of house and techno from Europe and America. It’s a combination of elements that is often subtle, though highly effective, and part of Traumer’s rich musical DNA.
As well as touring the world, Traumer also holds down a residency on Rinse France, hosting a show that represents his versatility and dynamism. His eclectic tastes are presented for an hour each time, giving him a chance to share his love for music with fans new and old. A special mix compilation will soon be arriving, curated by Traumer himself together with Gettraum 004 and some hush hush white label bootlegs…
Traumer will also be launching a new label, called ‘HUA’ (flower in Chinese). Inspired by a month spent in the Far East nation, it will acts as a platform for music of a more meditative persuasion with beautiful, complementary floral artwork. He is also curating his own resident parties at the legendary Rex Club in Paris. Called ‘Traumer Invites…’ it will involve a cast of talented friends and artists throughout 2017.
Already a key figure in the French underground, Traumer continues to work tirelessly on his music, fueled by an unrelenting passion to express himself. With a wealth of natural talent and flair for production combined with his nonstop work and dedication to refining his craft, next chapter of Traumer’s story is already being written…
